????Hello everyone,
????We would like to announce that we??ve rolled out a new update for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA. This update is intended to solve some major issues we encountered at launch.
????Our latest controller patch has resolved many of the crashes that occur on launch. If this is still occurring, we highly suggest updating your graphics card drivers to their latest versions.
????We have discovered another issue with a temporary fix regarding the screen resolution and resizing. If you have resized the window in windowed mode and then selected full screen, the game will be attempt to force the current resolution in full screen. If you run the game in windowed mode, then resized and quit the game, you will need to delete the settings.ini file located inside your game folder to restore resolution settings to default. This is a temporary solution that we intend to solve in our next patch, at our highest priority.
????If you are encountering audio issues (skipping, interrupted looping), we recommend checking on if there is a conflict between multiple sound devices on your system. Try disconnecting all sound devices except the desired output and seeing if this resolves the issue (thanks to MicahDS for the tip).
????We are currently investigating all reports coming into our Troubleshooting Forum, so please continue to report any and all issues you are encountering. We kindly request that you include additional relevant information, such as the steps, to reproduce and your system specs.
